A boiler explosion inside the fluidised-bed furnace no. 4 at Wien Energie's plant at simmeringer haide on may 18th 2009 largely destroyed the boiler and significantly damaged many other parts of the furnace.
WKU was commissioned by WIEN ENERGIE GmbH to specify and coordinate the services to be provided by appraisers and experts for determining the cause of damage as well as the course of events.
WKU was also requested to compile all relevant data and information relating to the operation of fhe fluidised-bed furnace during the years prior to the incident.
Furthermore, WKU was retained as a consultant to oversee the repair activities at the fluidised-bed furnace no. 4.
