The employees of WKU have been highly instrumental in the conception, planning and construction of the waste incineration plant Pfaffenau, the biogas facility (Biogas Vienna), the city’s main wastewater treatment plant (now known as ebswien) and the city’s hazardous waste incineration plant at Simmering (formerly EBS/Entsorgungsbetriebe Simmering and now known as “Wien Energie, Werk Simmeringer Haide”).
